The history of a band of the 90s and beyond....
In the very early 1990s, my Best Friend from High School and I did something we had wanted to do all our lives, start a band.
Both of us had been writing since we were teenagers. Nolen wrote song Lyrics and I wrote music.
It wasn't until after 1993 that I had begun to put music to some of Nolen's Lyrics.
During this process I got quite good at writing Lyrics myself.
We agreed that we should start our band. Quite a thing to do after my settling down and starting a family. But we didn't travel long distance, just here locally in Kingsport and Jonesboro.
Nolen even moved to Kingsport from Florida so we could perfom and record music.
In 1995, we began practicing here in Kingsport at a local music store.
By the early spring, we had a Studio downtown.
We recorded our first demo sessions at a local recording studio.
Between 1995 and 1997 we played some local venues...... these included....
Bluegrass festival here in Kingsport with Red Kirk as M.C.
A little place in Jonesboro called "Cornbreads".
In early 1997, Nolen returned to Florida.
Shortly after this, I began recording albums on my own.
